ROBERT DOMIJAN LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS

I did a post a while back on some of Robert Domijan’s work – see here. I really love his landscapes – the colours, the brushstrokes, the compostions… all are so typically South African. These are some new pieces he has done, all of which are over a meter in length and done in oils.

Should you want to find out more, take a look at the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery website here.

ALMALFI COAST, ITALY

The Amalfi Coast was one of my favourite Italian experiences. We were there for four days and managed to hire a scooter and meander the extremely narrow cliff side roads. We stayed in a small coastal town called Positano and used that as a base to visit Sorrento, the town of Amalfi and the well known volcanic ruined Pompeii. We ate at the same restuarant every night as we couldn’t bring ourselves to try any where else as the food was amazing and the view over a private pebble beach even more phenomenal.

Hope you all having a good week so far!

More to come soon.

ROME, ITALY

So… back to some more pictures of our Italy trip and the amazing architecture and scenery. After Venice our next stop was Rome. We spent four days there and barely had enough time to see everything, let alone shop for any glorious shoes! Alas, we got to see some phenomenal sites such as Ancient Rome, Palatine Hill, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and of course, The Vatican and the five hundred some what steps that took us up the St. Peter’s Bascilica Dome. And.. there was a Salvador Dali exhibition at one of the museums that we happened to stumble upon!

All in all, Rome was a marvelous experience. Definitely an energy filled city with amazing fashion, food, decor and incredible historical sites.

Have a great weekend all!

VENICE, ITALY

As many of you know, or perhaps were wondering why I have been so quiet, it is because Rick and I have been in Italy for the last two and half weeks travelling. What an amazing time and experience we have had! Italy you are truly beautiful!!

I thought I would share some of the amazing architectural sites and scenery I saw in Venice, where the start of our holiday happened. Each week I will post pics of the cities we visited.

It’s so good to be back though!

Have a lovely week all!
